CONDITIONING THE BODY

Conditioning is a key component in any martial art. Our coaches always ensure that their students warm up properly and help them build their bodies' endurance and stamina. Key elements of conditioning include stretching, cardio, strength training, and muscle memory. Conditioning of the mind is also encouraged through mental exercises and periods of meditation.

POOMSAE

Poomsae, or forms as they are typically called, are a way to practice specific moves and counters as well as a great way to learn control over your body. At Kahn's Taekwondo, we take pride in practicing the latest WT (World Taekwondo) and ITF (International Taekwondo Federation) forms and staying current with the latest USA Taekwondo (USAT) changes.

COMPETITIVE SPARRING

Sparring is more than just kicking your opponent. It is about seeing openings in your opponents' defense and being quick enough to capitalize on that split second window. It is also a mental game and a physical contest, not to mention a great workout. Students at Kahn's Taekwondo regularly compete in local and regional tournaments including USAT sponsored state qualifier and national tournaments.
